Re: There's a moral to this story...
Things haven't changed much over the years. A friend's son was attending medical school at Temple University in Philadelphia about 10 years ago. He didn't have a garage so he left his car parked on the street when he came home for Christmas vacation. When he returned in January, his car was on blocks and all four tires and wheels were gone!

Re: There's a moral to this story...
I went to school in Queens NY and just before the
Whitestone bridge a car was parked off to the side of the road. After school, the car was up on blocks. The next morning the car had the hood and trunk lid up and by the next morning, the doors and interior were gone.

Re: There's a moral to this story...
My Friend Bill had a flat tire on the New Jersey Turnpike in 1967.
He is working in trunk to get tire jack out. A car pulls up in front of his car. He hears some sounds and goes up front to look ... This guy is removing the battery ... What the hell do you think you're doing?? You are taking the tires and I am taking the battery... ! This is my car and I am changing a flat tire ... OH .... SORRY! He hooks battery back up and leaves like it happened to him every day. |
