Default stromberg 2 barrel

i got this old stromberg, did ford mark the year on these carbs? the reason i'm asking is this one has 1935 on the 1/4" base and it has a small hole on the top plate near a screw. is that for some kind of pressure release, or something. it looks factory.

No dates on Stroms. The hole is most likely for a gas heater not factory. ken ct.
