Default Oval SW odometer shaft pin

I was working on the speedo in my 29 getting everything free and cleaned up. The pin that holds the odometer shaft to the housing on the one end was beaded on both ends so I had to grind the end off then tap the pin out. Does anyone sell the pin or can a small screw be used in place? Thanks

often soft pins can be made from welding rod, wire or other source of round stock. Just get the diameter right so there is no slop, then peen both ends after inserting the pin.
