Yes, mine looks like the 39/40 Deluxe Coupe as you show, as long as it’s 31” long and 14 3/4” tall, which guessing it is,..Thank You

Zeke3

Looked long and hard, this matches what I have, the plate with the two holes that hook to the decklid matches mine, and has a bend in the arm like mine. Mine is as wide ( plate with two holes ) and the plate angle is exactly the same. Says it’s for 41-48 Ford Tudor & Fordor Sedan & 1939-48 Mercury, so says C W Moss

Thank You for your help

Those are great photos mercurycyclone. Thank you for sharing. Nice to be able to see side to side comparisons.

Will and Joe 38 Deluxe seems closer to 39 - 40 Deluxe and 38 Standard I think would be closer to 37 Ford Deluxe and Standard.
I have attached photos and measurements of 39 - 40 deluxe coupe.

I should have said I attached photos and measurements of the 39 and 40 Ford Deluxe & Standard Coupe door trim.

Don’t think mine is a 39-40 Deluxe and certainly not a 39-40 Standard ( no hook at end and being more meatier )

Mine is EXACTLY 31” long, not 31 3/4” wide as you reference for the 39-40 Ford Deluxe, and probably the Standards are also ( 31 3/4” long ) for those two years.

Thinking Will D photo and measurements are more correct, but even then in his photo it still does not look exactly 31” long, as the tape measurement looks a tad off on both ends. Maybe not thou? He says that piece came off a 38 Deluxe Fordor, I’m sure it fits other years models also. Doubt it’s a one year specific model knock off.

I’m just trying to ID part for future sale.

Thanks for everyone help,..

The one in my photo is 31 inch exact. It looks slightly off in the photo due to camera angle. My '38 has the original interior, or what's left of it. I pulled the tattered upholstery off the trim for better photo.

Yes! That’s great info, I’m still thinking it fits other years and models, but for now I’m satisfied that whenever I sell it, I’ll know it fits at least one model year..

Thanks again for your effort

Joe
