Default 69 A Running Electric Fuel Pump.

Will be running a 69 A without a mechanical fuel pump. Inlet manifold is a Speedway 4 barrel set up. Front end has a vent rear end is a removable filler oil cap which has built in PV valve.
Bushing for fuel pump push rod is still in place. As I have read on this site this bush does not have the small oil hole? So the need to plug the top of bush is not required by using a plug or leaving the push rod in place in original length or shortened form.
I would prefer to leave this bush open if nil requirement to plug.
Just another area want to be clear on.

Ok so looked on line and from book:
How to Build Flathead v/8 HP by George McNicholl.59a has thin wall brass bush without oil hole for push rod. Push Rod bushing 0.375" ID. 49 to 53 bush is 0.435" ID.
If push rod bush is removed there will be an oil pressure loss.
2 ways to prevent this.
1: Drill, tap and install s/s 1/8" NPT plug in push rod bush hole.Permatex on thread.
2: Hammer in a slightly tapered 0.380" OD aluminium plug into push rod bush hole. Seal with Permatex.

So in my case it appears I do not need tp fit anything as bush is still in place.
