Default Remote battery terminals

Batteries in Model A’s are a pain to access. I installed these remote posts in both A’s as well as on my car trailer. Speedway has them for $20 (698-21504) and the bracket is $15 (910-12528). Handy for jump starts and using a trickle charger. This bracket was one I made.

Why not just use the lug on the starter?

It can be a bit tricky getting a jumper cable clamp on to that starter nut. But how often do we need to jump start our cars?

I have the little fused harness for my 6V Battery Tender wired in to the fuse block at the stater switch and that is plenty handy.

Jump started two Subaru’s and made both owners take a cell phone photos!

I did something similar with my daughter's '74 Beetle. It, too, has the battery under the seat (in the back). Those remote lugs make it a lot easier. I never felt the need for my Model A, but it is your car. Make it yours.

That's what I finally figured out to do. Use the starter nut and ground to engine. Still, 4X4's set-up looks nice and easy.
