I run my heater hoses off of just the passenger side on the 8BA I'm running now. I put an elbow with the cut off valve on one of the upper head outlets (1/4 NPT outlets I think?). Then the return goes to the side of the water pump. If you do not have the water pump return, you might have to get one of those returns that go into the bottom radiator hose. Search around on the Mac's site, they have those.

36tbird is right. Go from the right (passenger) side head to the upper heater connection (via a shut-off valve). The second hose goes from the lower heater connection to the lower right radiator hose. You'll need to install a proper fitting in the hose. Good luck.

Just what I was looking for. Info on heater water flow. I had removed my old vintage heater in my 48 flathead ford. Converted to 12V and added vintage air unit. I used the same connections, but one on the left head to the heater and the return on the lower return hose to the radiator on the right side. Any problem with this? Will I get enough water flow to the heater?

No problem other than overthinking the issue. Both sides of the block return water dump into the radiator and come out the bottom. Control of flow is by the water pumps, so regardless of which side in or out, as long as out (to heater) from top, in (to block) from bottom, it's all good.

Boy . .that's great . .Now I need to look at the heat control valve and see if it is working as designed. I do have the flow arrow in the right direction.

Again, Thanks
