'38-'41 and '42-'47 Rear PU Fender Difference
I know '38-'41 and '42-'47 rear pickup fenders have different part nos. but I have also heard they will interchange with some work. I know '38-'41s have the gas filler hole on the left and spare tire indent on the right and '42-'47 don't, judging from pictures I've seen. Is this the only difference? Do they both have the center peak? Are the mounting holes the same? Will '42-'47 fenders mount up to '38-'41 running boards and box? Thanks for the help. Jim

Re: '38-'41 and '42-'47 Rear PU Fender Difference
I don't know if the bolts/holes line up or not, but I have seen 42-47
rear fenders on 40-41 pickups, but the ends of the running boards need to be widened at the mounting point. This can be done, but requires some metal working skills. Good luck |
