Default 1937 art-deco zephyr tail light for '37 Ford

I'm working on a new project, a mold to adapt the cool Art Deco '37 Zephyr taillight lens to fit into a '37 Ford tail light bucket. The Ford lens for ’37 is flat, the Zephyr lens is conical, however both lens have the same size diameter for the lens, so I should be able to make the Zephyr lens fit the Ford Bucket.
First, the two original glass lenses are not interchangeable, They have two different mounts, therefore you can not fit one onto the other.

What I needed to do was make a mold and cast an original '37 ford lens. Cut off the Ford mounding ring. , then cut off the bayonet mount on the Zephyr lens, marry the two and make a final mold of the result. The most challenging part was engineering the two-part mold so the inner plug would float inside the outer mold and still be able to pour the resin. Also, the resin cast had to be extracted without being trapped inside after curing.

Here are a few photos of work in progress and final production casting.

I am putting two lenses with a low starting price on Ebay to see if there's any interest in Art Deco '37 Ford lenses. Want to see how they do, how many hits I get.

Any questions, just ask.

Here's a link to the auction.

Good for you for taking the time to do this, whether you get any sales or not. You gotta try!
