I have a Huckster, all wood on frame. I was not too fond of lifting from the frame on my 2 post-lift. I made arm extensions from 4X4 steel 1/4" wall 24 inches long. I just slide these over the arms. I did tap a hole to act as a lock, but not necessary. If I had a welder could make a fancy extension? Used hockey pucks as shims to level arms. The correct way to do this is to purchase new extended arms $$$ but it would be a bigger job installing them and then storing them. The short arms work fine for my other cars, a little stretch for my pick-up.

Per post #2, I can't imagine attaching battery cables or anything else to the bottom flange of the frame on any vehicle. The liklihood of jacking at any given point during the life of the car is about 100%.
