Default Transmission tail shaft bushing remover

I'm looking for a bushing remover for a transmission tail shaft on 1950 Ford car 3-speed standard transmission. I want to change this bushing with the transmission in the car. I understand there is a puller made for this job but don't know where to rent one or buy one. I've always had luck with the Ford Barn members--here's hoping.

Try a search. I remember a year or so ago (maybe more), someone had this same "opportunity".

You might visit a local trans shop, they might loan you the tool.

There is a tool for this job but, It's expensive for a one time job. I ended up taking my tail shaft housing to a trans shop and they pulled it out and put in a new one in about two minutes.

Tail shaft off, knock it out and install new with a bushing driver.
