Door latch spring replacement
What is the procedure for replacing a broken spring on the plunger of the door latch on 37 2-door flat back?

Re: Door latch spring replacement
If you mean the coiled up spring in the picture, the 2 tabs are bent apart some to change the spring, they don't like b eing bent and can easily break off, --some of the spring kits have a little clip that is pushed through and bent over in case of breakage --and to reinforce the tabs
NOS latches usually are not too $$ ---do yours look like the ones in the pictures, many cars use the same latches, but use different length inside links ---these in the picture I think are nors---aftermarket replacement---to be rivited to your link/inside release---the locking spring on the inside handle part can be replaced too I was going to use parts out of these latches to repair my open car ones, but I found NOS ones |

The two latches that you have pictured to the right with the keylock attachment look to be the same as mine...are these latches for sale? E-mail me please at [email protected] for discussion. Thanks.. |
