Re: Car fir sale
Helping out the grandkids is way cool. Throw a price at it and see what happens. You never know, worth trying. I sold my F100 this past New Years Day, parked it with a for sale sign and got my price. I thought everyone would be home watching the bowl games!

Re: Car fir sale
hamb gets a lot of views from all over the country. doesn't cost a dime. just about everyone I know that is into old hot rods is either on it or at least views it. I think the high end market is a little soft, if its under 7,000 $$ it usually sells a lot faster. sold an all original 70 chevy truck ,driver quality, this summer for a little more than I was expecting to get. just have to be patient and watch how much you put into one.

Re: Car fir sale
All this sounds like gloom and doom.
I'm hoping for better luck. I put my 41 pickup up for sale on the HAMB and Craigslist last week. Lots of trade offers, but with not enough cash. I consider it a hot rod so I didn't list it here. |

Re: Car fir sale
That's a hell of a truck for the money, Wingfield! You should post it here since it's all Ford. What are you running for tires on there as far as brand and size? I can't seem to find a set of thin white walls that I like, but yours look good.

Re: Car fir sale
Put it on a trailer and haul it to the Moultrie and Daytona shows in Nov and enjoy a Fla vacation. If it runs and drives it might sell if you price it reasonable or willing to take a partial trade. HAMB should be a good place for you to advertise but a lot of buyers have stuff they need to sell but the "need to sell" boat is large due to the economy and life's changing priorities.
If its not something very special, hard to find and popular, old car prices are generally way down the last several years but you might find that one buyer looking for what you have and willing to pay your price if it is realistic to 2012 prices. With the FED printing money like it is going out of style, you may be have to sell it for scrap metal if you hang onto it a few more years. My stuff seems to go down 20% per year. |
