I would like to ask......How tight or what are the steering arm end knuckle fittings specifications to be properly adjusted (where they are greased) ?

No, not the king pins.......looking at the cross bar.....and the other knuckle / grease areas. How tight should they be?

...actually they're called the 'Spindle connecting rod tube' and 'Spindle connecting rod ends'.

I think I did read that you want 25% spring compression somewhere, how you measure that easily is beyond me. |

Re: Steering arm knuckles
Quote:
1. Measure the overall length of the spring. 2. Measured Length x .25 = Distance To Compress. 3. Grease parts as needed. 4. Install spring, and cup, and plug. 5. Screw plug in until all loose slop is gone. 6. Screw the plug in the Distance To Compress.

Re: Steering arm knuckles
In my case, with rather worn balls on the drop-arm and drag link, I had to screw them in really tight before I reduced the "wandering" tendency on the road. Might be different if the balls were not worn.
