Back when I worked at Bonnell,,,,,(they are an aluminum extrusion company),,,,we mostly did 6061 ,,,made many different product lines .
But,,,we also made beams out of 7075,,,,these were like floor joists,with a channel in top that we put a 2x2 piece of wood in it in the fab shop .
,,,,I was always told they went into sky scrapers .

They were hard as a rock !
I saw one fall off the buggy one night,,,it fell about 4 feet to the concrete.
Not a mark on the aluminum beam,,,,,,it put divits in the concrete .

A spray bottle of MAC 1458 aluminum brightener from NAPA will clean up little things like they do to big things at the truck wash.
