I’ve been very happy with my rebuilt carb from Bert’s.

Buy them on eBay? Not what I’d want to do either!
Bert’s is a viable business and not a Big Box Store
It’s “mom and pop” albeit it’s Steve! He’s on here regularly

Well not everything/body is bad on ebay. Jim Bullock (RIP) sold carburetors on ebay. So does Papa Nick with Speedometers.

Oldblue, didnt realize Berts was a mom and pop. thanks

as others have said, some decent people on ebay- even motor rebuilders. just depends.

For carbs I prefer an individual who does them regularly. thanks

31a….

Read the thread….JR Bullock passed away last week..see #5
RIP

Ronn…
Most of the “really great” craftsmen are covered up. The individuals and/or cottage hobbyist have more than they can do. Many have websites but most don’t have time to build for eBay. Papanick speedos is exception….speedos build quickly

Just my worthless opinion!!

Yeah, the "JR was good, but he's dead" isn't particularly helpful is it? I'm just sayin'. Sorry to hear his passing. I'm sure he'd get a kick out of it.

We rebuild carburetors in my shop in northern Michigan. I test drive each one on my truck at least 50 miles. But its impossible in the winter.
