Default 1929 Sport Coupe rear window screws

Does anyone know a source for original screws that hold the rear window together? I’m missing 6.

I believe the screws are #5 size. Bratton's PN 29023 are the ones needed for open car back windows and I am pretty sure they also fit sport and business coupe back windows.

Do you have a good old fashion hardware store near you?

I needed one screw and nut a few years ago for our 29 Sport Coupe rear window frame after replacing glass and loosing one. Found them at local hardware store. They had a great assortment of miscellaneous different size screws, nuts, etc.

Enjoy.

Whatever screw you end up with, make sure it's not too long. If it is, it will dent the outside frame and form an outward bulge. The original screws are darned close to touching the outer frame as it is. Any screw that is even a little longer will create a bulge. Take one original screw with you to compare and if you can't find the exact length, one just a hair shorter will work. I learned about this pitfall doing my first roadster top from Lebaron Bonney back in 1973 when the kit came missing one screw. I couldn't find an exact length at the hardware store, so I settled for one just a bit longer, not knowing what would happen. It happened. And a bulge on one of those outer frames is hard to correct!
