That is s neat story. The model 21 is probably the most prized Thompson model there is. It has some features the later models didn't have.
The later model 28 was widely used in WW2 and the Korean war.
I wish I had a dime for every 28 and M3 I worked on in ordnance.
I could buy a new hot rod....lol
It was fun when testing them to shoot dragonflies out of the air.
