Thumbs up Shave and a Haircut..........Two-Bits

Doing a little spring cleaning on the Special Coupe, I finally got down to looking at the upholstery and noticed that over the year, the seat cushions are looking a little worse for wear.
You may find little "Pills" where you and passengers sit, and on close inspection, find they are made up of many threads, dirt, pet hair and the like.
I gave the seat cushions a good vacuuming and found these pills to be quite difficult to remove. Remembering my old unused Remington electric razor I thought I'd try and shave them off.
The foil screen was almost useless as the threads are much finer than a whisker, however the beard and stache trimmer proved most effective.
I kept the shop vac running to pull the debris off the shaver head, and softly dragged the trimmer across the fabric almost parallel to the cloth.

The results are amazing as the seat cushions look "brand new" with no signs of wear or dirty little pills.

Thought I'd pass this on to all in case you have the same issues with seat fabric.
Cheers!

I didn't know there used to be one of those down here! I chanced upon a topless car wash one time, too bad they didn't allow pics. The A Model loved the attention!

Thanks for keeping me "abreast" of what Iam missing at the car wash!
Just remembered the phrase from Lester Flat and Earl Scruggs and thought it appropriate. Responses at the Barn are always tittilating!

Farrell-

Back on topic, that's a pretty ingenious idea you came up with! I didn't mean to derail the thread, but I blame Jeff/Illinois for putting my mind in the gutter.....haha.
