Default Model A Tool Set - Photos Wanted

Could anyone post close-up photos of show-quality Model A tools and discuss restoration techniques? (Only tools that came with the car.)

I bought these at a swap meet and thought it might be fun to build up a set of tools, perhaps for the 2016 MAFCA meet in Denver. ???

I only paid $5 for these, which means they are probably crap, wrong, or unrestorable. But that’s okay for now. I just wanted to start somewhere.

BTW, I have a March, '29 car. So I'd collect tools for it.

Several years back Dave Lopes brought his 4,000 mile '29 Fordor to the San Diego swap meet. With it he brought the original '29 tool kit. The black paint was almost like new. Even the tire pump still had the cardboard tube on it.

Dave may not be with us anymore but we can still learn from him via photos like these. The photos are rather high quality so you may download them and zoom in on them.

For some reason it is just showing the URLs and not the photos. If you copy and paste these URLs one at a time you will be able to view them.

Unfortunately these photos aren't as high of quality as I thought they were. Sorry folks.

Now that I see these photos, I wish that I would have taken full size photos of each tool/item. I also wish that I would have taken them using a higher quality setting.

Still an incredible tool kit, so any pics are great! Thanks for sharing Dean! I was hoping a complete tool kit would be in my fordor, no luck, just a set rad. Hoses.

A tool set from an original car is always more relevant than items collected up.
I wondered what the tool set of Dave Lopes fordor would reveal ; I had always believed the ''Ford USA'' stamping [on the adjst. wrench] occured post Model A, likewise the tire iron with the brake adjstr. Nearly all of these toolkits have items missing or ''wrong'', but this is an unique 4K mile car!

Re toolkits, you are lucky not to make up a Canadian toolkit in a ''foreign' country.

what ive used to duplicate the original sheen is
Dupli Color "universal black" this is availible in all the car parts places out west
just a thin coat
avoid the multi coat rubbed finish ,let the draw marks, cast iron grain, and scale show through

BUT, if you like the polished finish,go for it
