Default front hub help

Was taking a good look at my drums/hubs on my 1928 early model Tudor sedan yesterday. The front hubs are different. Can anyone tell me what I am looking at here? The spindles and bearings appear to be the same.

Hmm, I'm thinking that the grease baffle (that usually stays stuck to the back of the spindle when you remove the drum/hub) came off with the drum/hub.

The one on the left, the "thin" one is an early 1928 hub. Sometimes referred to as an "AR". The one on the right, the "thick" one is common 1929 thru 1931

Here it is. You think it could be some type of machine shop repair? Regardless, I will replace it with a new hub and cast drum.

Thanks
Pete

Sorry - looks like our messages crossed and I wasn't paying attention. Thanks for the info!
