Red face Retro Brakes - Going Back To Original

Hi, I am in the progress of collecting parts to build an early style "A" Modified. What I am looking for is all the original parts and measurements to convert my "A" frame from hydraulic back to original mechanical brakes. May seem crazy but it the goal I have set fot his restoration. No newer parts that'30 or '31. Can anyone out the in the Ford Barn help ?

Thanks in advance.

I have always found there were plenty of people willing to trade their good mechanical parts for worn out hydraulic parts. With all the old chassis I have stripped down over the years I never found one proper conversion. For some reason I mostly found only one axle converted.I kind of thought you would have had a dozen offers by now to trade for your old stuff.

Prewar modifieds used the best brakes that they could afford. If you don't want hydraulics,at least go to '35 mechanicals. They still use brake rods but have drum and shoe sizes like the hydraulics. I would think that if you put money and labor into a car you would want it to be as safe as can be?
