Default Rebuilt 1940? Ford 24 stud flathead SOLD

City: Hedgesville
State: WV - WEST VIRGINIA
Price: 3850

Completely rebuilt 1940 Ford 24 stud flathead. Was told is a 40 engine has raised intake. Block baked, shot peened, magnafluxed and pressure tested. Engine was balanced by local shop that builds race engines. 8 new sleeves, sleeved to std bore of a 239 not std 221 bore. Crankshaft magnafluxed and ground. New hardened intake and exhaust seats, Sealed power pistons, Hastings rings, rod and main bearings, valve kit (new valves, guides, retainers, locks, seals), timing gears, NOS camshaft, Red's adjustable lifters,NOS cylinder heads, Melling oil pump, screen, and pickup tube, fuel pump pushrod bushing, Fel Pro gasket set, water pumps, NOS seal retainers, reground flywheel and new ring gear. Valve are installed and adjusted. Was planning on putting in my 35, but going with an 8BA that I acquired. Have close to $5000 in parts and machine work, not including time to grind seats, check floating rod bearings, install and adjust valves, and assemble the rest of engine. Just trying to recoup some of what I have in it. $3850. Call 304-754-3073 before 9pm
