Can the type with hinge/pivot brackets be used or will need to be modified to fit? Any help appreciated Thanks

I believe if you have tip out windows, the window, weatherstrip seal and inner garnish molding are a unit, at least that's how my '41 fordor was. The unit installed from the inside, pulling the outer seal out thru the opening. I don't even remember if it had screws to hold it in place, just the rubber. Not sure about a fixed window but doubt they are the same.

Willi............my book does not show a "business" coupe for 1941. It does show however deluxe and super deluxe coupes with and without jump seats. Ford made a total of 38,420 of these coupes. Is the book in error or did Ford not make an official 1941 "business" coupe? I do not know..........

everyone calls them B.C's but I don't think that was ford designation.

My Ford book actually calls them out as business coupes as compared to their other named cars such as custom deluxe coupes etc.

Short doors are shared by the fordor and business coupe, long doors are shared by 5 pass. coupe and 2 door sedans. Also heard that the rear quarter windows are different between the fordor and coupes (height or lenght) although they appear to be identical. I may be wrong.

I've owned both coupes with flip out windows and fixed windows. Like 4door41 says the flip outs have a retainer built into them for the weather seal and holes for the pivots for the glass, also they have a clip on them for the window latch. The fixed type the glass fits inside a rubber extrusion and butts between the window opening and the garnish which unlike the flip out type does not have have the channel for the weather strip and the clip for the window lock. Coupe ones and fordor ones are different in height but are the same in length. On my current coupe one of the flipout windows had a rusted out channel in the bottom of the garnish. I could not find another sedan coupe one so I got a 4door one which was shorter in height and cut them both and grafted on the sedan bottom piece.

Guys;

40 Bus Coupe w opera seats was body code 67 and FMC called

Business Coupe. 1941 short door coupe with rear jump seats was also

body code 67 as 1940 BUS Cpe but called '5 window Coupe with auxilary

rear seating"-----so 41 is properly coded (and regarded) as a Business

Coupe -only 2 years for body code 67.

1941 -1954 had short cabin Club Coupes {also known as Sedan Coupe

in earlier years) body code 72-- models A B & C , The C model was a

back seat delete with rear metal cargo platform --called Business Coupe

Love these old FORDS!

Yes I totally agree but they don't call out any of them being a "business coupe" like they on the others so is one of these a business coupe. I find this to be confusing.
