Good Bye to an old friend
After 13 years of working on my 1952 F-1 it came time to pass the treasure onto someone else. Sold it to a fellow in Santa Barbara.
Funny how attached we become to these vehicles. I was blessed with all the time (and the money) I put into the project, and even more grateful for all the patience and support I received from the folks on this site. Just purchased a 1931 Tudor for my next "tinkering project." I wanted to work on something older than me for awhile. It should arrive next week. I will of course remain active on the "Barn" with the same pen name, just a new "Therapy Vehicle." |

These are great looking old trucks. Very simple and practical. Good luck with your new 1931 Model A Tudor Sedan. |

Re: Good Bye to an old friend
I'm with you my friend... After months of pondering, i'm thinking the same thing, i like working on them more than the car shows and meets. Something about that therapy! I'm going to sell my truck too, I also have a big passion for early Econolines which i have started to look for. I have sold my house to venture up north to my retirement home with huge pole barn which im totally stoked about Something about that therapy that will keep dimentia and Alzeimers away. Nice F1 you have by the way!

Congratulations, Chap, and congratulations, too, on your new Model A. I know you've been planning this route for some time. Since we're almost neighbors, I'd like to see the new "Therapy Vehicle" in person......very exciting!!!!

Re: Good Bye to an old friend
I sold my truck through We Be Autos. Mike Runnalls was great to work with. Seemed like it took a long time, but God's timing is always perfect. Just when I found this nicely priced Model A my truck sold.
http://www.webeautos.com/ Dick, I'll let you know when I get the "A" and make sure that it's road worthy. |
