Woofa, I assume you are referring to my sign off line "At a certain age.....
I've seen 80 year olds a fit as some 50 year olds. A "certain age" sneaks up on us all, just faster for some than others. You'll know when it catches up with you.

yep I've been thinking about that and I'm going to try it. I think I'll remove those post manufactured shockers. They have done nothing to improve the ride. It's no longer a paddock basher but travels on formed roads of which most are bitumen. thanks, gary

Re: 28 pickup rear spring
Woofa,
Here is Marco's spring chart it will help you determine which spring leaves to remove maybe! https://fordbarn.com/forum/showpost....05&postcount=1 Color codes help ID which leaves go where in spring pack. Make note in far right column that leaves vary in thickness depending upon which position they occupy! Last edited by Benson; 06-26-2018 at 01:09 PM. |

Re: 28 pickup rear spring
You must keep the same height of the spring at the center bolt after you remove any number leaves. Measure the height before you take it a part. Example if you take 2 leaves out you must add 2 short leaves to the bottom of the spring to retain the same original spring height.
From one of the leaves you removed cut an 8" piece/s to use on the bottom of your reconstructed spring. Good luck Sofield |
