Per my catalog, both pass & com for 1934 used B 5461 B and it is called the Bearing (Starting Crank). The trucks used BB 5461 B, but that would be the large trucks, not the pickups. The number does not start with 40, that misconception most likely has to do with parts that were first produced for the 34 car years would begin with 40, but parts carried over from prior years normally uses the first year it was used as the model year number.

This information is on page 180 of my catalog, Ford Chassis Parts and Accessories Catalogue dated Nov 1950. An earlier catalog could possibly have a different part number, but because of the B I would not think so.

Ford did not change the part number, but they changed the hand crank bearing in '33 by enlarging the hole in the center of the lower portion into a square to engage the square head of the spring tie bolt. Either version will work fine unless the head of your spring tie bolt protrudes above the surface of the front cross member, in which case you'll need the later version or a tie bolt with a shorter head.

Yep, the same part number is listed for 28-34, so if they modified it, it doesn't appear there were any changes in the part number.
