David, I obviously have trouble ID'ing the horn buttons. It would be a great service if you had a chart and posted it. Thank you

David, what defines the difference between early '36 vs late '36 on the horn button pictured in first post?

The difference is the color of the button and the surrounding part to operate the car's lights. Until May, 1936 those components were non-metallic Benton Gray on deluxe model passenger cars and subsequently Russet Brown as in Mike's photo.

Andy,

Sorry, I'm no expert on horn buttons in general, just those I know with confidence ('32-'37).

Thank you David. I thought the difference was in color of plastic parts, but was not sure. Don probably covers that in the '35-'36 Book, but my copy wasn't available to check that out
Regarding other details/features in the horn, light switch, and rod assembly, I couldn't determine any other differences in those assemblies that I have in my collection that range from early '35 to late '36.

Yes, the only difference is in the color of the plastic and it was molded in, not painted as I first wrote. I guess I was thinking of what was required to restore them to like new condition as in the photo below; sorry.
