Both my 28 phaeton and 31 P/U ride on recycled running gear from rodded cars so there is a bright side ,nothing went to the scrap man . Sadly this is not the case with AA trucks in the UK . When one comes up for sale here it stands a very good chance of being bought by a rodder for the cab, sheet metal and title . Very little call for the AA running gear so after the engine is sold the rest mostly goes for scrap . A rod shop once offered me 3 complete drum to drum bevel gear AA back axles for equiv $150 . I did not buy as at the time I had no space, a later enquiry revealed they went for scrap . The demise of an AA truck is a bit like shootimg an elephant to get its tusks . Some years back I checked with our DVLA (DMV) and they had around 50 AA trucks registered that is out of thousands built at Manchester and Dagenham so they definately are endangered species !!!

John in sunny morning and a Happy New Year to you all may you enjoy good health and prosper Suffolk County England .

I have a stock 31 deluxe roadster and a briggs 4 door. I am taking the fenders off the briggs, lowering it a bit and building a nice Model A flathead 4 cylinder hot rod motor for it. Keeping it old school hot rod, No top chop. I like them all.

Thanks, Burner. I even tried rotating this photo in the opposite direction before uploading, to no avail. There must be some “this way is UP” code embedded in the pic.

Now you can really appreciate my wheelie castors!

Janet talked me into a Tudor that's now tucked in for the winter. She was very happy to let me buy an already-restored and beautiful Model A WITH WINDOWS!! this fall.
I don't lament the chopped Tudor. There are a lot of not-restored Model A's that need everything on the market. Few Model A'ers and almost none of the unwashed old car nuts can distinguish between "needin'" and "done" when it comes to price. If all those projects get the torch treatment, the value of Henry's most utilitarian body style will appreciate greatly. (Smiley Face) in case you don't see the logic in my message.

R.I.P.
Never understood why they always cut it and then do the rest really poorly. Normally never finished either...
