Default Bare Rails ID

My dad gave me a bare chassis today to start on another project after we get the 29 Murray TS done. I have identified it as a March 1930 production. The front cross member seems to line up with that date, based upon stamping. Is there any way to ID what body style used to sit on the rails (i.e. sedan, pickup, TS, roadster, etc.)? Its a very nice frame that has very little pitting. There is no sag or cracks in the rear cross member. Its just too good to not use, but I want to have the correct body on it if there is any hint of knowing.

**Also, for the NC guys and gals, what is the grueling process of titling and registering a car with no title. Will it eventually be titled as a home-made modern build?

All body styles used the same frame for a particular time period. So, pick the body style you like and it will be correct.

I thought that to be the case, so may the truck begin!

I am sure you know this...but just incase you do not...your 1930 frame for which you will be doing a "truck" (pickup I presume), will be that of the 28-early 30 body style (but with a 1930 style gas cap) and not the later 1930 body style as with some of the other parts on the "truck" which are also 28-29.

HOWEVER...the above statement is only if you are a purist at heart...If not, then...well, it is your truck!

Have fun with your new project.
