Default 1940 1 Ton Express Truck Hood Center Trim

I am restoring the above truck. Got a 1/2 ton hood center trim but it seems 1/2 the width of the 1 ton truck's center trim. I assume the 1 ton truck's is not reproduced and I will have to look for a good used one?

The one ton, often referred to as a 'tonner' uses the front sheet metal common with the 1 1/2 ton. The more popular half ton '40 uses the same front clip as the passenger car. Therefore nobody reproduces trim parts for your truck. You can find solace in the fact that you can safely haul twice as much firewood in your tonner even though the grille trim might be missing until you find the piece in a farmer's field on a road trip. Don't ever blink on a road trip in the country.
