Default Dupont/Axalta Centari enamel paint

I just found out that our local paint supplier for Centari is no longer selling it.
I have almost enough paint to finish my project, but one or two quarts short.
Does any one know of dealer that still sells Dupont Centari ?
The color is Cordoba Grey and a factory color. 5203A
Thank you.

we are having the same problem with a project that was mostly painted 8 years ago. the only solution is to have the paint store do a color match using an already painted panel to do this. our local axalta dealer has been able to do this

Centauri enamel is (was) just acrylic enamel. Have any local auto paint supplier that can still mix acrylic enamel match it. I quit using acrylic enamel when urethane came out maybe 30+ years ago. If you haven't started painting this project or have painted just parts you might be better off switching to a more modern paint. Urethane dries faster and is more durable in my opinion.
A few years ago, I asked for a quart of a generic white I use for license plates before lettering them and asked for enamel thinking it would be cheapest. After they mixed it, when I went to pay for it I was shocked and when I said "that costs more then urethane" I was told that yes (they) PPG wants to price it out of the market so they can stop making it. Felt stupid that I didn't ask first.
Restoration Shop products(TCP Global) still will mix acrylic enamel. I have been real happy with their urethane products that I have used. I painted my 40 wagon and 40 coupe with their urethane and the price was 1/2 the local Wesco store (including shipping) and I had the paint/hardner/reducer in 2 days. They have all the old Ford colors in their Classic or Antique section.

I remember using Centari with the hardener added. I later found out that the hardener effectively turned it into acrylic urethane enamel. I first learned a person had to use a respirator with urethanes the hard way with that stuff. I've been using them ever since.

A lot of stuff has changed since Axalta took over Dupont Coatings. Centari was discontinued before that happened so it's real hard to find and whatever is there will be leftovers. The standard Imron is no longer available either. For polyurethane they now have the Imron Elite SS for commercial use and it is more of an acrylic urethane. To get the regular polyurethane a person has to order the Aerospace coatings like Imron AF3500 and man is that stuff expensive.

Folks that live in California have a hard time getting anything like this. Its getting harder to get everywhere it seems.

I just run over to Arizona and buy PPG solvent based paints. What's hard is finding someone to shoot it.

I did my 1929 model A roadster with marroon century with the hardner
over 50 years ago. The fenders are black and it looks like it was just
painted. I gave the roaster to my youngest son a couple years ago. He
keeps it shined and it looks great. I can't find a picture right now. G.M.
