Default cast tail lamp arm

I have a cast tail lamp arm that looks twisted when mounted on the car. Do you think I can heat it with a torch & try to slowly bring it back straight without it breaking?

cast wouldn't do well with bending. But it bent without heat. Made worth a try?

I'm guessing it was hit at one time. It's really stiff. Can't believe it left the factory like that.

How about a picture? Is it cast iron, cast aluminum or cast recycled beer cans?

if it is original ford it will not be cast but a forging, and can be heated and reshaped, if it is an aftermarket cast iron arm, I would probably cut it and braze it back straight

It is original cast Alan. Quite heavy cast. I will have to try it.
