Default What is this oil pan from?

A guy on the Ford Trucks forum posted this very nice picture of his fresh engine, and the oil pan caught my eye. I've never seen one with ribs like this. How would the lower bellhousing be braced with this kind of pan?

That is a car pan and they did not use a brace.

Thanks! I've seen shoebox pans and they didn't have the ribs. Wonder why they added them so late in the game?
