My suggestions would be to get an repair/service manual to start with. Are you looking to remove the levers for service or?

It should have a Borg Warner T-98 transmission connected to a Dana model 24 transfer case but there has been a lot of water under the bridge since 1963. There were also Marmon Herrington conversions that may have one or more different components.

The shift lever for the transmission is held in the shift tower by a large threaded retainer. I put them in neutral before removing the lever. Watch for a pin there. If it's loose, it can fall into the transmission making for more work. If in doubt, pull the whole shift tower.

The transfer case should have a simple lever set up but if you remove one, the mat should be easy to install unless you have to cut the holes out. A person can also just pull the transmission cover and use it as a pattern at least on some of the old Fords. I don't know about the old 1963 models.
