There is a RatFinkHotRod in Norway. I did not see a Rat-Fink" with location in Sweden. Go to HAMB, click on the 3 heads in upper left corner, on the drop down menu, click on "Member Search" type in your search, I used "ratfink" and got a bunch.

There is a Rat Fink (no hyphen between rat and fink) listed here as a member. He has never actually posted anything here on Fordbarn. Click the link below, then click on contact info and then click on his pm address and send message.

http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/member.php?u=19832

I looked on the HAMB member list and found several names listed under Rat Fink, but none of these members are from Sweden.
Then I looked for Rat-Fink and found nothing. You need to make sure you have his membership name shown correctly.

Update: I checked for Rat_Fink today and found the person you are looking for. The difference was you were saying Rat-Fink in your first post. A dash/hyphen vs. an underscore makes a difference.

Hey John,
Thanks guys for your attention. I said that I am lousy at navigating this HAMB thing

I'll try again:
At the HAMB, parts for sale , PAGE #7 (NOW) is a austensibly a long standing member Rat_Fink . Under his avatar it says 'member from Sweden'.
City=worldwide
State=international (Australia, Canada, etc)
He is selling a magneto that I would like to speak with him about.

Hope that I'm more accurate this time, so that you can help

The ad has NO phone # or contact # on its face and I am not skilled enough to figure out how to get in touch / respond to such a for sale ad....

Hey roundvalley,
Sorry, I tried that after reading Ryan's instructions to do so. Did not work for me and do not know why ?

you cannot respond to an ad for sale or Wanted except by PM or Email. You will keep gettingthe message to log in if you try responding by a post

Responding to an ad on the HAMB is completely different since that site was "improved" a year or two ago. It is now completely different web software than the Barn and
you have to click to start a private Thread with the advertiser.
I suppose it's still a bit similar to a PM on this site.

I have no clue what you mean by 'click' to start private conversation.
I've done what I can think to do with meager experience with the HAMB and apparently not enough. No one with sufficient hamb skills... can relay to this guy that some computer neophyte wants to talk with him here
Ha, maybe I'm not the only one then, eh. I understand and empathize with Ryan trying to deal with all the scammers and hairballs in this 'new world' of ours. Just wondering why someone who is trying to sell something, doesn't at least put contact info on add.

See where it says "conversation Start a Conversation" ? Put your mouse pointer on "Start a Conversation" and left mouse button "click" on it. It will open a window to write your message. Fill it out and hit the Start a Conversation button. Watch for a reply. I have never used this , but it's what I would do.

Okay Hardtimes, I sent Rat_Fink a message over on the HAMB and asked him to try and contact you, either here on Fordbarn or on the HAMB website. However, I do not wish to get in the middle of any negotiations on this. Good luck.
