1939 windshield regulator
my windshield regulator on my 39 standard sedan needs to be replaced I have loosened the 3 bolts holding it into the cage, under the dash, but I can't remove the regulator, as the threaded rod will not pass the top of the dash. Is there a trick ?? or do I have to take out the dash ?

As I recall, you'll have to take the dash out.

Re: 1939 windshield regulator
Remove the dash top. The gears on the reg ae probably sheared. There are repacement gears available. Or replace the reg with a used one. No one repros the 39 reg.

Hope this works. Now if I can find a regulator we both will be happy campers. |
