Default Anyone driving in a Memorial Day parade? Also a short, 'Putting up the flag' video.

Is anyone driving their Model A in a Memorial day parade or get together? Unfortunately my 29 Tudor isn't back together yet.

Here is a short video on putting up the flag on Memorial Day.

This guy says he's not much with words, but he hit this out of the park.

I did not drive in the parade today for the first time in 20 years. I injured my back and did not want to aggrivate it running the clutch, and my girlfriend has had her knee go bad and cannot get into the A just now.
Photo from last year.

Yes, I have been asked to drive Eleanor, my 1931 Tudor, in the Memorial Day parade in Grand Haven, Michigan. It is not a very long drive, but the parade is a good one, worthy of the reason for the Memorial Day.

Five Points chapter of Penn Ohio will participate in Memorial Day day parade in Warren, OH. Afterwards, we are guests of the local VFW for bean soup and corn bread lunch.

Neil:
I agree with your video 100% I fly it everyday to remind me freedom is not free and it is paid in full with the blood of the service men and woman. Thank you for all of you Ford Barn members that have served. A special place in our hearts for the fallen on this Memorial Day.

A Very Proud American

The Grand Haven Memorial Day parade took place under clear skies and complete sunshine. Eleanor, my 31 Tudor, had an Honorary Marshall and his son in law, also an army veteran, as passengers. The WW II veteran is 95 years old and as sharps as can be. For an immigrant like me to drive a soldier that secured Europe in WW II is an honor beyond belief. The younger passenger served in Germany in the 60ies continuing to make life safe for us.

Eleanor had flags on her front bumper!!

My 1928 Tudor, isn't back together yet. But made myself a promise next year LORD willing I will drive her in the Tower City, PA. parade. Thank you to all those who have served and paid the ultimate price for me to make such a promise. What a great country you have given me.

My wife and I drove the 400-A in a nearby town's parade. Here's a photo of a 95 year-old WWII veteran named Roger and a fellow vet with Diane and the car.

We did the local parade and then went off to the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in western PA. Very humbling to drive through and see all the grave markers.
