Default Id number on carrier

Any ideas what this number means, it doesn’t match the other half of the housing. Looks like it says D6-415

Is that on the "ring gear" ?
IF yes,..then the pinion rear will have a matching number,..UNLESS it has a mis-matched
ring and pinion..okay?
