Default Renningers 2011

Just back from Renninger's Model A show anf flea market. Still worthwhile but attendance was way down, presumably due to gas prices and a still shaky economy. I'm worried that we'll never see the days of groups coming from all over the Middle Atlantic states and spilling out into the road with no place to park. Anyway of interest was this Barn find roadster(made ihto a) pickup. The guy said he just bought it from storage since 1952 in Pottstown, Pa for $1200. He plans to keep it as it is. I've seen a lot of converted pickups but rarely cut up so high, there's barely enough structure to hold the seat.

Yup, saw that truck there. It looked like a lot of potential fun. It sure would be different! Yesterday was a nice day for a drive up in the AA, although we did run into a little rain on the way back. But I figure the truck won't melt :-)

Renningers was a very nice little local show. I met Ora Landis and almost bought that engine had. No inserts though, just babbit. I bought a number of small parts at the sale. Most of the priceswere very good. BTW What does Renningers sell in the way of parts? That garage/showroom seemed to have nothing but household stuff. Beautiful day! Great show! I got home early enough to get some work done on my T.S. Shows always get me fired up!

it was a nice show and had a good time. the A's started leaving around noon so we drove around the country roads for a few hours before heading home. maybe tonight I'll clean the manure out from under my fenders...
here is an original unmolested Tudor in decent shape with 25,000k. received the marc preservation award

renningers is located in the heart of lancaster,pa amish country. it was announced on the barn weeks ago. dont miss it next year about the same time. the tudor was not for sale, the guys father in law bought it in the sixties from renningers who brokered it from the original owner. try and make this meet may 14th free flea market spaces and alto of A's. click on the flyer link.....

Mitch,

On that 28/29 sedan delivery you have pictured, is that a window shade that you unroll when stopped for something? The reason I ask, is that I have a pair those that would be neat to use on my car if they fit. I figured that they are shades I just never saw them on a car-or even pictures of them on a car.
