Question 1935 coupe-transmission removal

Need Guidance - We have a 1935 3 window that came with a later tranny with
matching original Ford column shift. Always worked great . Until now. The
question is....If I slide the rear back , will there be room to get the tranny out the bottom past the original crossmember or does it have to come out thru the
interior??? Thanks in Advance!!

Starting with the '49 shoebox you could drop the transmission from beneath. Before that, they all come out from the inside of the vehicle.

Ive taken it out the inside several times now. Actually pretty quick if everything goes the way it should. Maybe 2 hours or so. If you pulled the tranny mount off and obviously the shift tower im sure you could pull it out the bottom.
