Default Wire a model A engine for a test stand

Any help would be appreciated, I need to wire an A engine to run on a test stand. I would like to run a generator and a amp meter.
Thanks, Cobbie

Only use what you need from this diagram.

Run a battery cable (negative) from the battery to the starter switch and run the + battery cable to engine ground.

Run a wire fron the generator cutout to one side of the amp guage, then run a wire from the other side of the guage to the starter switch terminal. Polarize the generator by jumping a short wire across the two cutout terminals for one second. While polarizing the generator you should see the amp guage go to about -10 amps. If it reads +10 amps, just reverse the two wires on the guage.

Run a wire from either amp guage stud to the coil primary terminal and run the other coil primary terminal to a toggle switch, and run the other side of the switch to the distributor. Buy one of the screw in wires for the distributor from any of the parts vendors. This is handy to carry for spare parts also.

This is all you need to wire a test stand to run the engine and monitor generator output.
