Wrong, you are right it is a Ford with 94 cast into the body. The main jets did not have any number on them but using drill gauges a 55 just fits. So, figured 8-10 % because of elevation should put me at 50-52. Old buddy across town has some 50's I am gonna try.
Yep standard fitted jets in the Holley 94 would be 51 with a 7.5 PV?
So at your altitide the 50 jets should do the job.
asking questions is the learning process but remembering then thats the hard part. All the best.

I'm down range and at 5330', and with an engine (8BA) in great shape I have never got much above 90 psi. Doesn't sound like compression was your problem anyway, but here is a good reference for altitude for flat V8's.

PS I have found that original jets on 94's frequently don't have markings.

Success!!!
Put her back together and advanced the timing from stock, 4 degrees. And yes, I went the right direction this time. Put in the #50 jets and started her up. Now I am getting 12-13 inches of vacum. Took it out for a drive and wow, it's like a completely different motor. Twice the power it had before!!!
Will pull #5 plug again tomorrow and recheck compression. Was 50, and after oil went to 70. Now, with some Marvel Mystery oil in the hole and the tank, and me running the boogers out of it for a 1/2 hr, hopefully that cylinder will stay at 70.
Thanks again to all you guys for the advice. I feel a whole bunch better about buying this car now.

Good news. Hope it gets even better! If you can run non-eth fuel I would suggest it. (ya that's a button for some, has worked for me).

A fan of MMO, I don't use it all the time, but in spring I do when waking up my 38 for the summer. One of the reason for leaded fuel was upper cylinder lubrication. MMO helps with that in my opinion. No you don't need lead additive.
