Default FM antenna or is original OK?

Hi,

I'm going to put a 12-volt am/fm solid state radio into my '46 with a 6-12 converter. I was wondering if the stock antenna on my car will work with fm or should I buy a modern antenna?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts, suggestions. etc.

Dan
