Default 262 [223] inch Trk six

Hi folks: I am trying to learn if a 262" six can be ID'd from the externals. Casting marks ect.? Even some Inliners are stumped on this one. The engines share a head with the 223" six I believe. thanks Newc in Oregon

Go to fordsix.com and pick the "vintage inline sixes" category. There's lots of folks in that forum that mess around with 215, 223 and 262 engines. They can probably help ya.

Thanks to all and this 'magic box'; I found all the 'tells', eight bolt valve cover, cast timing cover, and an extra casting web on the lft side. closing Newc
