Default Shock conversion kit wanted

I am looking for the hardware to convert my front shocks to the tube type from the old Houdalli lever type. I need the complete hardware plus the number and maker for the proper shocks as well. This is on a 1935 Ford peecup.

This is the kit I used. The installation was straight forward. I did not change the perch bolts, I used the original shock mounting points on the front axle.

Thanks. That's great to know. At my tender age, I'm not about to go to all the work of changing perch bolts.

I'll smoke over my front axel just to make certain this is what I'm looking for. It sure looks like it at this point.

Not sure if you have mechanical brakes? This kit will only work if you have converted to hydraulic brakes.

Thanks. The advertisement says the kit will not work with mechanical brakes. I have converted to hydraulics. This looks like just what I am looking for. I will order a kit tomorrow.

I had to trim the stations in my application and I mounted the shocks to the original perch bolts.

Thanks for the photos and the tip on trimming the stations. I'll keep that in mind. The photos help a lot. Looks like a neat setup. I found a couple of old shocks in my stash that I will check out before ordering the kit. I THINK my problem is the right front shock or link but I'll find out for sure tomorrow morning.

Let me know if you want some info on the rear shocks. There is no kit for 35/36 so I had to fabricate brackets.

Paul2748: I do not know you, really, except for your postings here. Give me the name you go by on Facebook and a specific reference as to your allegation of an insult. I have no way of responding with specificity. Also, why did you bring up such an allegation here rather than on Facebook? Just askin'

Okay, Paul. I located the innocuous remark that I made on Facebook which somehow, you find insulting. I'll confess, I left off a question mark but I did insert an emoji indicating pleasant curiosity. I regret you find that insulting. Please accept my apology for your misunderstanding.

Lawson

I believe you can get the shackles that attach to the shock end from petes and jakes. Mechanical or not.

I don't know how or if that is better as far as how the shock performs. But you don't have to mess with the perch.

Lawson,
Last week I gave away a set of those mounts with old shocks attached attached(for Shock manufacturing number). I have had them for 40 years and gave up ever using them. Want me to try and get them back?

Do what you think best about getting them back, but I sure would like to have a set.

Lawson, I'm cleaning out my shop and came across these. You can have them for shipping if you think they will work. This is all I have; not top mounts. (Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures).

If Lawson don't want 'em, the offer is open to anyone else.
