Default King pin reamers/ brands/part #

Next time I go to a swap meet does anyone have a list of king pin reamer brands with part numbers I can be on the lookout for?. This would be for my ‘41.

Look for a machine shop with a Sunnen pin honing machine. The only way to get “correct “ fitment.

All correct answers above^^. true that doing them on a sunnen hone is best, but some like to do it at home. 812 is the size, and there were a billion quality tool makers here before the world went to shit, so name brand would be irrelevant. I have owned several, and most times at the swap meet they will be in an old crusty box that tells what it fits. you could look at them on ebay to get educated as usually there are several there to see.

A few of us have done them ourselves using emery cloth wrapped around a slotted dowel turned by a slow drill lubricated with kerosene. I'll have to do some searching to find the posts. Also did my pedal bushings.

I have a set of industrial adjustable reamers that I use and then for final fit use a wheel cylinder hone

I have a combined king bolt bushing reamer and driver in original box specifying your year in my toolbox from when I re-built the front end of my '37. Send a PM with e-mail and I can send pictures.

Took my spindles in to an actual automotive machine shop.... last one in my area and had them honed. On the axle I-beam itself I used a master cylinder hone to fit an oversize pin on the driver's side. Took about 5 hours, spread out over a week, to get that done. (Didn't want to disassemble the truck to take that in to the machine shop) I hope to never do that job again.....
