Question Transmission Gear Lube question?

I found some 90 wt. gear lube at Tractor Supply that is for Ford tractors . The brand name is Travelers .It is listed GL 1. Would this be suitable for my 40 transmission? Would this also work for the differential?

Thanks
Warren

warren, 90 wt. gear oil is a little on the light (thin) side, unless you live at the north pole. I use 140 wt. in the trans and diff. Regards, Kevin.

See the great discussion on this topic from just a few days ago on 03-31-15 - "gear oil for tyranny and rear".

Hope this helps,
