Re: A months frustration, Fuel issues
Here is a link for the dirty leg
http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/kellyshutoff.htm Club members use the small magnet from Harbor Freight in the glass bowl to catch small rust particles. I installed a PENCIL FILTER on top of my gas shut off, it's about a 2" filter screen that goes into the tank and keeps the "hole" from plugging. Parts suppliers have them. Must drain tank to install. The PF solved my gas flow woe. Good luck |

Re: A months frustration, Fuel issues
I didn’t know the parts suppliers had that filter when I was having trouble with my car. So
I was in the paint store and saw a filter for an airless sprayer and bought it. It is threaded on the bottom and about 3 1/2 inches long. I threaded the shut off valve for it and put it in. No more problem. I clean it once a year after the winter sit. |
