Default correct fastners for 31 slant window

Im restoring a 1931 slantwindow. I need to know the correct rivit or bolts for the door check strap to door and the correct bolts to install the rear valence. Cant find any info in judging standards book or the parts catalogues. Also are the fasteners painted or some other finish? Thanks in advance.

My 190A rear apron is attached to the body with eight 12-24 screws and lock-washers. The nuts are captive inside the body. On each end of the rear apron, there is a single fastener connection to each rear fender, but I do not recall what the fasteners are. I suspect they are 1/4-20 bolts.

I think he is talking slant window 4 door. if so. the rear valence uses 1/4 20 oval head same as the dash rail screws. and they are painted. the rear door check straps uses a bar and two 10/32 oval head.

File this is in the "for what it's worth department". This car was messed with plenty before I got it. First photo is front door. Second, the rear door.

My assumption was that the 160A and 190A have similar rear apron attachments, but apparently not.

Am I correct in my understanding that the front door check on the 31 S/W had 3 different settings on the backside for how far the door would open? I am thinking of taking off the cowl panel to see which setting mine is set up for. I would really like to have the door open farther for getting in and out of the car.

Go to Brattons A parts (or other vendors) and type in Door Check parts for info. for the hardware. Also, original unmodified SW sedans I've seen had the slots in the machine screws aligned horizontally.
